We welcome our new Manager in Mexico, Central America and the south of Texas

Diego Solís is our new manager (TSM) in Mexico, Central America and the south of Texas. I live in Zacatecas, Mexico. I am a person with simple tastes, I appreciate rainy days and I like sports, especially football. I consider myself a person with a lot of energy, humble, always willing to learn, responsible, charismatic and very empathetic. I dedicate my free time to my family, I like walking in the countryside and the mountains, and I love Mexican regional music and food.

I am originally from Villa del Corzo, Chiapas. I am 27 years old, and my professional training has been carried out in the university where I have studied a major in Irrigation Engineering, the Autónoma Chapingo university. I did my professional internship in two instances. First in Distrito de Riego 025, supporting the farmers to perform topographic surveys and to draw up the maps for the leveling of the land, and then in a renowned company dedicated to the manufacture and distribution of pivots, focusing on their design and installation.

After that, my experience in pivot irrigation has been developed through working with different companies in Mexico, being the first of them Tractores del Norte and Hidroingeniería del Norte in the area of installation, design and sales of mechanized irrigation. Subsequently I worked for almost 3 years as the Territory Sales Manager in Mexico for a company well-known for their mechanized irrigation.

My interest in agriculture goes back to my childhood. My father was a farmer, and I was raised in the countryside, knowing that is activity is very noble, loyal and important. Thanks to our farmers across the world, we can have the necessary food to survive. Since I was a child I could feel the passion, love and that responsibility for the field. Day by day I dedicate my work to the farmers who work in the fields, knowing that my activities can contribute to make a better world where our people in agriculture can have the opportunity to produce efficiently and sustainably.

My vision, I believe in a modern agriculture with the best technological approaches but making sure they are environmentally friendly. We need food self-sufficiency, that is our challenge. The strategies for irrigation, fertigation and the special solutions that Pierce can convey to our customers will be the pillar of the production base in the world that will allow to have that key factor for self-sufficiency.

The impact of my incorporation will be destined to the support and strengthening of the existing distribution network, support and technical consultant to the farmers.
