Meet Jaron Everett: Our new National Sales Manager!

I grew up on a cotton/wheat/milo farm in the southern plains of Texas. Irrigation was always a part of my experiences on the farm. In fact, irrigation innovation was a huge interest to me at an early age and I was fascinated by mechanized irrigation after my first hands on experience, on the farm, in 1998.

My family and I, which consists of my wife Lauren and 6 children, recently relocated to Eddy Texas to position ourselves near the San Antonio Texas office. As a Texas termed “farm boy”, I have many hobbies that historically have went in standby due to the busy ways of life. But I have always enjoyed trail riding on dirt bikes, wood and steel engineering projects, equipment trading and restoring Massey Ferguson tractors, to name a few.

Professionally, I have been involved in the irrigation Industry since 2007. Being a center pivot dealer for a number of years, I took on several projects that included selling/designing and promoting irrigation projects throughout west Texas. Under the Ogallala Aquifer in west Texas, there are major challenges that some of the regions face, low GPA for one, is a challenge that few understand and I set out to understand and implement practices that would not only conserve water, but find and develop ways to be able to keep farming viably in these low GPA situations. What most do not understand is what works in one area, many times will not work in others, there is not a silver bullet for Irrigation practices throughout our industry and that is a key factor in being successful in all that is done in Agriculture, particularly the Irrigation Industry. I then went on to be a District Sales Manager for the entire S.W United Sates for a major center pivot/linear manufacturer in which I had several mentors that shaped who I am and what I know today. This role included assisting new and existing authorized center pivot/linear systems dealers with sales/service and complex irrigation projects. This role had many challenging times with large projects in Arizona and other complex projects throughout the region, this brought the word “engineering” to a new level that I had not experienced thus far. This experience brought great value and knowledge to future endeavors and project management situations. Most recently, I have accepted a new role as the National Sales Manager for Pierce Corporation, in which I hope to lead successfully, efficiently and effectively.

My new role as the National Sales Manager has several different avenues. One, is to bring Pierce to the next level in North America by strengthening our footprint in the region. Two, is supporting the team in the success plan, and three is to educate, train and evolve the current and future Pierce dealer network, sales team and others. What a great time it is in our technological era to be here working in this industry, no better time than now. Lastly, I am looking forward to the future and working within the Pierce network.
As for the future in Agriculture, as a whole, we are in some un-charted times with many challenges ahead, but as a society and societies existence, Ag will continue to prosper as it’s the only way survival is possible. Food production is only possible by soil, water, nutrients and a stable environment and therefore Irrigation is a major player in this success and future of the world.
